A Lamp Unto My Feet
Steady Ground
The world is a loud, chaotic mess of opinions and social media static. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by the noise. When I’m navigating the day, I don’t need more “expert” takes or corporate fluff. I need something that doesn’t shift.
I need the Word. DAILY! It isn’t an ancient, dusty relic; it’s a living document that speaks right into the struggle. It’s the constant I need to keep the path clear.
Precision over Guesswork
I’ve always said recipes are suggestions, but the technical stuff—baking, home repair—requires a manual. Life is the same. Scripture isn’t just historical literature; it’s practical. It corrects the mistakes I’m prone to making and equips me to actually be useful in my community.
God’s Word reveals His character and His plan. It provides a foundation that doesn’t crack when life gets complex. Knowing that helps me move forward with a bit of peace instead of just winging it.
The Daily Walk
You don’t find the path by accident. You have to set aside time to read and reflect. Start small, maybe a Psalm, and let it sink in deep. Ask the hard questions: what is this saying about my current situation?
Apply the wisdom. Build the resilience. Keep the light burning.
