Building on the Bedrock
The world is a loud place. It screams that success, comfort, and a fat bank account equal “living well.” But we’ve all seen people who have the trophy life on the outside while their insides are a wreck—anxious, restless, and empty.
Real well-being isn’t about what you’ve gathered; it’s about where you’re planted.
The Thief and the Foundation
Jesus didn’t come to just give us a pulse. He came to give us an abundant life. But there’s a tension there. We have an enemy who wants to steal that joy by filling your head with worry and making you believe you aren’t enough.
If you don’t intentionally build your life on the Truth, the world will trick you into building it on sand. And sand doesn’t hold up when the storms roll in.
Storms Are Non-Negotiable
The question isn’t if the storms are coming—it’s what happens to your foundation when they hit.
Financial hits, health battles, and relationship friction are part of the deal. If your foundation is your job, what happens when you’re laid off? If it’s your comfort, what happens when things get hard?
A life built on Christ is storm-proof. You might get shaken, but you won’t collapse.
Rooted to Thrive
Think about an old tree with deep roots. It doesn’t matter if it’s a drought or a hurricane; it stays standing because it’s firmly planted. When you stay rooted in Him, your well-being isn’t determined by your circumstances. It’s anchored in who He is.
A well-lived life doesn’t happen by accident. You have to choose your foundation. Build on the Rock, and you won’t just survive—you’ll flourish.
