The early church in Corinth had gifts, talent, and high-level ability. On paper, they were thriving. But Paul cut straight through the fluff to deliver a hard truth: performance without love is just empty noise.
“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.” — 1 Corinthians 13:1
Knowledge without love just inflates the ego. You can know all the right answers and still have a heart that is completely out of position.

Gifts are temporary. Knowledge fades. Love is what remains when the dust settles. Real maturity doesn’t demand its own way, and it doesn’t keep a mental ledger of wrongs.

Spiritual growth rarely happens in massive, cinematic overhauls. It happens in small, daily decisions to recalibrate your heart.
When a knee-jerk reaction flares up—when you feel the urge to get defensive, sharp, or prove you’re right—pause. Catch the reaction before it runs your mouth. Swap impatience for patience, drop the scoreboard, and handle the moment with grace.
