The Same Power

The Same Power

The Same Power

Mid-morning hits, the house goes quiet, and the coffee finally lands right. Christy is off taking care of business, Zippy is stretched out snoring on the rug like he worked a twelve-hour shift at the mill, and the world outside is already spinning too fast.

Most days, you feel the wear and tear. The joints ache, the mental fatigue sets in, and the grind tries to convince you that this fragile shell is all there is.

It isn’t.

The Hard Truth About Mortals

We run on fumes more often than we admit. We try to muscle through exhaustion, spiritual dry spells, and heavy seasons using sheer willpower. It never works. Willpower breaks down just like any cheap engine running without oil.

Paul didn’t mince words about our physical reality. He called them mortal bodies—fragile, decaying, and temporary. But he didn’t leave us staring into the dirt.

The Blueprint

“And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.” — Romans 8:11

Read that again, slowly.

The exact same Spirit that shattered the darkness of the tomb, overturned death itself, and brought Christ out breathing on the third day isn’t standing at a distance watching you struggle. He lives in you.

Not a diluted version. Not a second-tier substitute. The resurrecting power of God has set up shop in your chest.

Walking It Out

That doesn’t mean life gets neat and tidy. It doesn’t mean your back stops hurting when you bend over to scratch the dog behind the ears, or that hard days magically vanish.

It means death doesn’t get the final call. Despair doesn’t hold the deed to your house.

When you feel spent, stop leaning on your own cracked foundation. The tomb is empty, the debt is settled, and the Spirit inside you is more than enough to carry you through the next mile. Stand up, shake off the rust, and walk in that truth.
