The Noise and the Law
People love to overcomplicate things. We build systems, draft checklists, and pile on endless rules just to convince ourselves we have everything under control.
Religion is usually the worst offender. It wraps simple truth in layers of red tape until you need a manual just to get through the front door.
Cut through the clutter.
Galatians 5:14
“For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'”
One sentence. That is the whole playbook.
Grit Over Sentiment
Loving your neighbor isn’t some soft, sentimental feeling. It’s work.
It’s putting Christy first when the day has been long and patience runs thin. It’s checking in on the folks down the road who are quietly having a rough stretch. It’s choosing not to be a headache to the person standing right in front of you.
You don’t need a committee to figure out what that looks like. You just need to show up, do the right thing, and stop complicating what was meant to be simple.
